Over the Counter Allergy Medicine

There are a number of over the counter allergy medications available at most pharmacies. These include, but are not limited to:

• Benadryl
• Zyrtec
• Claritin
• Allegra
• Tylenol

A number of store brands that function similarly are also normally available at lower prices. Eye drops and nasal sprays can also be purchased and may provide relief depending on your particular allergic reactions.

It’s important to remember that while all of the above medications are meant to  provide temporary relief, some may have significant side effects that can occur (especially with long-term use).

Reading labels carefully for dosage and warning information is important and it’s best to have a clear understanding of possible limitations for usage over a period of time.
